Joe Hernandez
I created "TPBL" out of my love and passion for the game of baseball. My dream and goal was to always play Pro Baseball. I worked on achieving that goal through hard work, good coaching and a belief in myself. Many other young men have the same belief and desire I had, right now. I believe that through hard work in school and on the field, dedication and respect for yourself and the game along with solid experienced coaching, any goal can be achieved.
I fell short of my goal to play at the Major League level. My Pro career was rewarding but at times limited due to various leg injuries, rehab assignments and the eventual reality of age. Once healthy, I went on to play for many more seasons and enjoyed success at every level I played at. I am also a college graduate with a BS Degree in Psychology (emphasis in sport psychology).
I returned to baseball as one of the Midwestern scouts for the Montreal Expos and served as an assistant instructor during Spring Training for the Devil Rays in my career. Instructing players is what brought me back to the game I dearly love. It is certainly my life's work. Working with Major League hitters and catchers has helped me become known within Major League Baseball as an instructor that can identify a problem and fix it quickly and effectively. I take great pride in my players success and will continue to help as many players as possible to reach their goals and dreams. Instructing baseball at every level from Little League to Pro, I realized every players need and desire for solid Professional baseball Instruction to help them reach the next level.
I am a professional baseball instructor that has held that position with Grand Slam Baseball Academy and the Chicago White Sox Training Academy. I have also had the great honor of instructing for Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association across the Midwest for several years.
